Our Story
Jeremy and Brad were both burdened for our community when they met in the Fall of 2024. Jeremy was frustrated with church life simply being about a Sunday morning experience while Brad was troubled over neighbors not knowing one another. Both of them believed that the solution was inviting families to hands on experiences with other families. Jeremy brings decades of experience working with youth while Brad brings a lifetime of experience of working with his hands in the shop. Both of them believe that the outdoors is the best place to strengthen the families of Central Minnesota. Most of the work that we do is on a 120 acre farm in the Avon Hills area.
Our Mission
Our mission is to invite everyone to healing experiences that create a strong and joy filled community. Parents are stressed, children are increasingly scared, and loneliness was declared an epidemic by the Surgeon General in 2023. We believe that healing experiences can be as simple as playing cards, building projects, or catching fish. By engaging kids and adults in hands on actives, we believe we can transform Central Minnesota one family, one experience at a time.
A Spiritual Focus
Every time that we gather together we spend some time connecting our work to God’s Word. We encourage kids to pay attention to their foundation, what they choose to measure themselves, and how to respond to making mistakes. We believe that one of the most effective ways to instill character in the next generation is to teach them how to create and build so that they can reflect God’s image to those around them.
The Impact on Youth
By engaging kids in building and outdoor activities, we are teaching them more than they know. Kids learn patience, precision, and how to respond to making mistakes. With each new tool or skill they are exposed to, we see them subtly grow in confidence. Most of them come in a bit nervous and end up leaving with a smile wondering when they can come back.
