They took Him down from the tree
The spear proved He was dead.
They laid His body in a tomb
And put linens around the Head
A rich man gave up his tomb
A teacher gave him aid
The King of the Jews was forsaken,
In a grave His body laid.
Disciples hid in an upper room
Thinking something had gone wrong.
They thought that thrones awaited them
As they joined in the throng.
They must have felt so stupid
Thinking it was all a joke
But they were wrong, the King still moved.
They just had to be awoke
